People need holidays to keep them relaxed

Expert says that trips are still a necessity even if money is tight for a lot of people.
A holiday is still a necessity for most people in the UK, even if the financial constraints in the country at the moment mean that it can be difficult to afford the sort of holiday that they are used to.
It was revealed in December by the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) that most people in the UK would be looking to save money on their holidays this year by looking for something that either offered them better value, or gave them a unique kind of adventure, such as using travel insurance for high octane sporting holidays.
According to one expert though, it does not matter too much where people are heading off to, as the most important thing for most Brits is just having something to look forward to away from work and all the stresses of home.
“There is that sense that you need to get away, you need to look forward to something and January is a time when people get a little bit down. Having a holiday to look forward to is incredibly important,” said Andrew Dunn, founder of Scott Dunn.
He said that it can really lift the mood of people in the early part of the year if they know they have something to look forward to when summer comes around.
Mr Dunn also said that the recent cruise liner disaster should not deter many people from undertaking their stress releasing holiday this year, as activity for holidays remains high.
“This particular case is literally one in a million. Its very unusual and I do not think it will have a broader effect.”
For most people, the summer is the best time to get away for a break, with the middle of the year proving a perfect time to just take a break from the stress of work and every day life back at home.
